I’m so excited to show more of The Mason Dallas Wedding captured by Nancy Cole Photography, planned and executed by Britt Jones Co. This English, garden wedding inspiration was designed to give a unique twist on the traditional green and white wedding. In the wedding industry, most vendors prefer to steer clear of a green-and-white-wedding palette. However, when you start to play with all the tones and shades of green and white, magic can be made! These sliding scales of color variation add so much dimension to a design. Ranging from lighter green tones to forest green tones and from creams to taupe, there are truly endless combinations that can be pulled from these two simple colors. Green and white is back, but looking better than ever! The Mason in downtown Dallas, Texas was the perfect venue to show off all of the green tones of the color palette.
In tandem with using color throughout the design, green toile patterns and bust statue heads were brought in to capitalize on the feeling of old-world romance. The bride and groom, Lya and Nicky, are incredibly well-traveled around Europe. In order to intertwine this into their wandering love story, the goal was to transport their guests to the places they hold so near and dear to their hearts. To fully grasp this vision, the perfect venue had to be selected. The Mason was just that being one of the most desirable venues in downtown Dallas. Its gallery-like feel with intricate murals and artful styling is the framework that allowed for such a design to be curated. Although the bride and groom wanted to share a worldly experience with their guests, each person took home a Texas-themed welcome bag. What better way to tie their Texas roots than fresh salsa, Saltlick BBQ sauce, and margarita mix?
Let’s talk fashion. The bride accompanied her groom in a tulle one-shoulder gown designed by Amanda James Bridal. Its ruffled detailing and statement bow gave it that wow factor that every bride dreams of on their wedding day. In order to have something a little more movable and chic for the reception, the bride changed into a textured blazer dress also designed by Amanda James Bridal. The two looks allowed the bride to celebrate the day in style wherever she went.
