Continuing education is important to me in all aspects of life–whether it be your full-time corporate job or even photography. Recently, I had an opportunity to attend The Workshop Experience by the Katelyn James.
THE KATELYN JAMES.
Katelyn and her husband, Michael are wedding photographers based out of Richmond, VA. Ironically, I came across Katelyn’s dog, Bokeh the Bichpoo on my explore feed on Instagram, and have been an avid follower of her blog ever since. Katelyn has been my main resource for my continuing education in photography, and her mindset in this overly saturated market is incredible.
When Katelyn announced the Workshop Experience dates, I was thrilled to sign up, and actually missed the workshop dates that I wanted to attend. When sign-ups for the September workshop opened, I certainly did not hesitate to sign up!
I spent two 12 hour days with Katelyn learning from her on technical aspects as well as business aspects. I along with eleven other talented photographers had the opportunity to shoot right beside her in a lovely fall-inspired styled shoot. The main takeaway from this experience for me was investing in your couples, because they deserve it.
I miss the ladies that I met during our two-day workshop, but anxiously keep up with them via social media.
I will certainly be sharing more from the styled shoot later, but view some of the images from #theworkshopexperience below. Thanks so much for having me in your personal space, Katelyn, and the time and resources that you invested in me has already been put into practice in my business!
