Hey, boo! Are you currently planning your wedding day, making sure that it is everything you’ve ever wished? Are you having a hard time including your groom in the wedding planning process? This time is exciting, but can also be overwhelming. Sometimes, the groom-to-be’s interest in wedding planning can definitely impact the bride’s feelings about the wedding. Brides many times feel that the groom just does not care like she does, when in reality, he is caring more about you and how you are feeling! Need tips on how to get you hubby-to-be involved? Keep on reading, my friend!

Truth Bomb

It is highly likely that your groom has no cares about florals and bridesmaids dresses. Here is your time to make sure that the color scheme, style of suits, and bridesmaid dresses are the right blend of both of your personalities. Your man will certainly speak up if it is something in which he truly cares. Do not be hard on yourself if he does not have the same reaction to things as you; he just cares differently.
Give your groom tasks like choosing the DJ and/or band or picking the design of his groom’s cake. This will help him feel involved and also take things off your plate.

Communication is key!

Men can not read women’s minds (we think they can!). If there is something that you have to have at your wedding, just let him know, sis! Communicate with him that you feel it is important for him to be involved, and I’m sure that he will understand and be interactive and supportive! It is imperative that he knows he can communicate with you, too. Let him know that he can also have an opinion, help when he wants, and let you know when he is stressed. In the end, do not stress about how much the groom is involved. Your marriage is important. Focus on your relationship; everything else will come together.

The venue that you choose for your big day will have a great impact on your wedding. Think about it — the venue will be the backdrop in some of your images. It will also be where you spend the majority of the wedding day and possibly one of your largest expenses. Each venue offers a different style and services; there are so many options!

Venue Services

Getting ready onsite sure helps with your wedding day timeline. Some venues offer beautiful bridal suites and groom’s quarters with a lot of amenities.

Many wedding venues offer catering, chairs, linens, or even florals in-house. These in-house offers can make your wedding planning easier if you do not want to search for too many vendors and prefer to work with one person in several areas of your wedding.

Many couples choose their venue so they can hire the vendors they choose for their big day. Be cautious to ensure that your place does not have a required vendor list; The venue’s vendor list may only allow for their preferred vendors to help with your big day.

Special Rules or Restrictions

Check out your wedding venue’s rules and regulations before the big day.
Any restrictions can affect your vendors. You must know these beforehand so you can let your vendors know and so you are not disappointed if there are restrictions.

Additionally, inquire about your access to the venue before and after your wedding day. Some venues allow the bride and groom access for the entire day while others limit your time to certain hours. Also, many places let the couple have access before the wedding day for decorating.

Hello, Coordinator. Are You Available!

Coordinators and planners differ. One can not replace the other. A coordinator helps to ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly and on time. Many venues offer a coordinator for your ceremony. Also, a coordinator is available for portions of your reception (if the venue is in charge of the reception). Let your vendors know the contact information for your wedding day coordinator, so any questions or concerns will be sent to them! No wedding day stress for you, my friend!

Venue Occupancy

Do not forget to inquire about how many guests your venue can comfortably hold. You do not want to be a maxed capacity and have to ask guests to leave. Have an idea of the maximum occupancy count before booking, so you will not be upset if it is not a good fit.

Whatever venue you choose, I hope that fulfills your wedding day dreams! Secure a good vendor team, and you will be well taken care of on your big day. If you need assistance, ask your other vendors for expert advice. Your wedding day story will come together, and everyone will be excited about how amazing it is!
