A gorgeous fall Sunday calls for an engagement session in one of Dallas’ perfect locations! Alex and Blake were the ideal couple for this location, too! The three of us had a chance to document the beginning of their love story with a Dallas engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum! If you’ve never been to the Dallas Arboretum (or any botanical gardens in your area), I highly encourage you to go! Botanical Gardens and arboretums have gorgeous scenery and plenty of florals for everyone to enjoy! I find the way their designs to be breathtaking! The Dallas Arboretum has a children’s garden that blows my mind every time I go!
It All Started in High School
The gorgeous couple’s love story goes back to when they were juniors in high school (about eight and a half years ago). They had 5 of 7 classes together. Because of their last names, they sat next to each other in each class period, every day!
The classic boy-tease-girl, girl-fall-in-love scenario happened between them. The two lovebirds started dating in their senior year of high school! Blake went on a mission trip to Honduras and came back “early” to surprise Alex and propose! Alex insists that she knew what was going on but finds in incredibly impressive how he had this Honduras trip planned out down to the time, and all long he was at his home. How sweet!
Details About The Session
I am blown away at the”monogramming Alex placed on the pumpkins with a Sharpie pen. She told me that she completed the monogramming while Blake was driving to the engagement session location! She wore a perfect beige colored dress with tan heels, and Blake wore the ideal neutral tones to compliment her.
Alex is excited to finish her Ph.D. program; Blake is eager to finish medical school to continue his journey to become an orthopedic surgeon and get married, and I can’t wait to photograph this beautiful couple in April 2021! Enjoy some images from their engagement session below!
